Terms of Service

1. Services

Dan Hutton ("I", "me") provides freelance web design, web development, and related digital services. All work is carried out as a sole trader based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, UK.

2. Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT (I am not currently VAT registered). A deposit of 50% is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion.

3. Project Scope

Work will be carried out as described in the agreed proposal. Any additional work outside the original scope will be discussed and agreed before being undertaken, and may incur additional charges.

4. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you receive full ownership of the final deliverables (website code, design assets, content created specifically for your project). I retain the right to display the work in my portfolio unless otherwise agreed.

5. Third-Party Services

Your project may rely on third-party services (hosting, domain registration, APIs, fonts, etc.) which have their own terms and costs. I will advise on suitable options but you are responsible for maintaining your own accounts and subscriptions.

6. Liability

I will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care. My total liability for any claim arising from the services shall not exceed the total fees paid for the project in question.

7. Cancellation

Either party may cancel a project with 14 days written notice. In the event of cancellation, you will be invoiced for all work completed up to that point. The initial deposit is non-refundable.
